Door bell 🔔

Man in uniform, took me a few seconds to understand.

He said, “do you have a Mini Cooper, your car is the only one left on the block — construction is starting — they called a tow”. He was SFMTA (meter officer)

I assumed I had a ticket (mind you I checked for signs last night and nothing).

I came out to him greeting me and the construction group happy to see me.

No ticket and a thank you.

He looked up my address from my plates — walked to my house! Waited for me!

What Metropolitan city in the US (aside from NY right after 9/11) would you experience something like this in?!

THESE ARE THE SMALL THINGS THAT REMIND ME OF THE UNIQUE CARE AND POSITIVE VIBES POSSIBLE IN MY FAVORITE CITY IN THE WORLD.

San Francisco, CA 🌁

Sincerely,
